South Sudan this week announced that all passenger planes coming to and going out of South Sudan are suspended until further notice due to coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the ban, commercial planes are still taking people out of South Sudan.
South Sudan Suspends Flight From China
In a statement published by the US Embassy in South Sudan, Ethiopian Commercial Airlines is expected to take off at 4:50 pm, 28 March 2020 from Juba International Airport (JIA) to take American citizens to Addis Ababa.
“UPDATE for AMERICAN Citizens: Flight Departure from Juba to Addis Ababa on March 28, 2020,” read the statement
